Katarina Witt

Katarina Witt is the most sucessful skater since Sonia Henie, winning numerous titles and two Olympic Gold Medals. Witt's talent was discovered soon in the former German Democratic Republic, and she is a long time student of famous East German coach Jutta Müller. Witt was also the first East European skater who was allowed to appear in shows and tours in the West. After the breakdown of the GDR, Katarina Witt pursued a career as a pro skater in the USA. She reinstated for the 1994 Olympics and skated well there

"Kati" dreamed of becoming an actress. She played the role of a figure skater in the action movie "Ronin" (with Robert DeNiro).
