Jenni Meno started skating at the age of eight. Training under Carol Heiss Jenkins she has had a singles career making it up to the senior level at the U.S. National Championships. In 1990 she started pairs skating with Scott Wendland.

Todd Sand started skating at the age of 10. He has a dual citizenship and skated singles for Denmark. Then he started pairs skating with Natasha Kuchiki for the United States of America.

During the Winter Olympic Games, Jenni and Todd fell in love and decided to split from their former partners to become a new pair. They started skating together in 1992, became engaged at the 1994 Olympics and were married in July of 1995.

The three time U.S. Pairs Champions finished fifth in the 1994 Olympic Winter Games, second in the 1998 World Championships and third in the 1995 and 1996 World Championships.

They turned professional.
